R-Series Quartz Reservoir Monitoring System

Intervention with wireline or coil tubing into productive wells has always been considered as a last resort — there are inescapable inherent dangers associated with such operations. However, the need to gather up-to-date well data still exists as part of a properly managed reservoir monitoring programme.

Downhole reservoir temperature and pressure readings from Zenith R-Series reservoir monitoring systems provide permanent and real-time pressure/temperature surveys; on-demand well data for transient pressures can be analysed to assess inflow and outflow performance whenever an event occurs.

As with all Zenith’s downhole equipment, the R-Series reservoir monitoring systems are developed from Zenith’s industry experience of artificial lift monitoring and utilise quartz transducers to give you the best possible accuracy required for reservoir monitoring.

The standard R-Series quartz pressure tool can be used for high-accuracy, high resolution build-up analysis or low-drift, long-term monitoring.

Overview

Quartz monitoring system delivering the best possible accuracy

The Zenith R-Series quartz reservoir monitoring system accurately and reliably measures well pressure and temperature. The gauge can be configured to measure either tubing or annulus pressure depending on the porting of the gauge carrier. The gauge technology comprises of field-proven sensor electronics and can be adapted to fit various casing sizes.

Maximise production while reducing costs

The R-Series Quartz reservoir monitoring system delivers permanent, real-time pressure and temperature data enabling:

  • Monitoring of well draw-down
  • Assessment of reservoir performance
  • Transient analysis
  • Monitoring of well fluid temperature
  • Interference testing

Optimise production

  • High accuracy, resolution and low drift characteristics enable detailed reservoir analysis
    • Provides valuable information on the size and shape of the formation as well as its ability to produce fluids
  • Accurate sensors with one-second sampling enable analysis of draw-down and build-up pressure transients
