Zenith has cause to celebrate after an announcement that the pioneering Z-Sight Automated Well Surveillance System has achieved a place on the shortlist in the Society of Petroleum Engineers’ 2012 Offshore Achievement Awards in “The Innovator Award” category. 

The Scottish Offshore Achievement Awards celebrate outstanding success in the oil & gas industry and recognise exceptional business growth and innovations which ensure the UK remains at the forefront of the international energy scene.

The Innovator Award, a new category added this year, recognises excellence in innovative technological solutions developed in the UK which contribute to the overall objective of maximising recovery of hydrocarbon reserves or the capture of renewable energy. Zenith’s Z-Sight Automated Well Surveillance system, a pioneering data management tool providing automated real time recommendations and control in order to efficiently operate each well to achieve optimum production, faces competition from Expro and Pelamis. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on 15 March.
