Formed in 2004, Zenith Oilfield Technology Ltd designs, develops, assembles and supports leading edge solutions related to the gathering and analysis of oil well data and the design of downhole completion equipment.

From the founding four-director team to the carefully selected 80-strong specialist global work force of today, Zenith attributes its rapid growth to the increased need for its artificial lift technologies as the search for hydrocarbons intensifies in fields with heavy oil and more mature basins.

Zenith invests substantial finance and energy to drive innovation, with more than £1.2 million annually towards the development and commercialisation of game-changing technology now being used all over the world. Currently supporting customer operations in more than 30 countries, the company has achieved sales of its oilfield technology across North and South America, Europe, North and West Africa and the Middle and Far East.

Certificates and Awards

Zenith’s success has been formally acknowledged in recent years through the achievement of formal standards and a number of reputable awards and accomplishments — testament to a sustained commitment to quality service and sales support on a global scale.

ISO 9001:2008 Quality Managment System

The ISO 9001:2008 standard provides a framework for taking a systematic approach to managing processes to ensure consistent turn out of products and services that satisfy customers’ expectations. An independent quality system certification body conducted an assessment to verify the administration systems of Zenith conform to ISO 9001:2008 requirements. The resulting certificate of conformity means that customers can be sure Zenith is managing business to ensure their needs are clearly understood, agreed and fulfilled.

GOST-R Russian National Standards

In addition to ISO 9001:2008, further global quality certification requirements are addressed through GOST-R. Zenith’s GOST-R certificate of conformity demonstrates that products and services have been approved by relevant Russian authorities in terms of compliance to national standards.

The Queen’s Award for Enterprise – International Trade

Presentation of the Queen’s Award for Enterprise (2009 and 2011), officially recognises outstanding achievement in the International Trade category. The 2011 announcement from the Queen’s Awards office congratulated Zenith on the outstanding achievement since first winning in 2009, growing international sales by 60% in the last two years and recognising the company for capitalising on research and development. Read more

Northern Star Business Awards – Commitment to Innovation in R&D Winner

Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce (AGCC) announced Zenith as winner of the 2011 Northern Star Business Awards Commitment to Innovation in R&D category, the key to success for many companies. The award recognises the impact pioneering new technologies such as the recently launced automated well surveillance system, Z-Sight, is having on company growth. Read more

World Oil Awards - Best Production Technology Finalist

Zenith's pioneering Z-Sight automated well surveillance system was shortlisted as a finalist in the Best Production Technology category of the 10th annual World Oil awards. Greg Davie, managing director, said: “Traditionally the process for optimising an artificial lift well could take days or weeks. With Z-Sight the operator can instantly recognise and prioritise wells requiring attention and cut this turnaround time to hours. It’s a major leap forward into the realms of the automated digital oilfield and we are extremely pleased that it is receiving international recognition.” Read more

Zenith won the Best SME300 Newcomer Award (2010) in the Insider & Scott Moncrieff SME300 Awards. The prize recognises an exciting new company which has entered the SME 300 for the first time and has the potential for future growth. 

Living up to the 2010 title, Zenith subsequently rose from 23rd place in 2010 rankings to ninth place in 2011. Read more

Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year

As the world's most prestigious business award for entrepreneurs, Entrepreneur of the Year celebrates those who are building and leading successful, growing and dynamic businesses. Greg Davie, Managing Director at Zenith, was announced as regional winner of the 2010 E&Y Scottish Entrepreneur of the Year Award and shortlisted as a finalist in the 2010 UK Awards.

International Track 100
